1. Who we are
Your Card Story is registered at 26 Antonycha Street, Lviv, Lviv Oblast, 79049, Ukraine. Registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER].
You can reach us at hello@yourcardstory.com or +380 73 046 2170.
These terms apply to every order placed through yourcardstory.com. By placing an order you accept them.
2. What we make
We produce bespoke keepsake books from greeting cards you send or upload to us. Every book is made to your specification and is unique to your order.
Books are 8×8 inches square. Cover colours and personalisation options are shown at the time of ordering.
3. Prices and payment
The base price is €59.99, which includes the first 20 cards. Each additional card is €1.00. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.
All prices are in euro and include any taxes applicable at the point of sale. Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering and is processed by WayForPay. We do not receive or store your card details.
Your order is confirmed when we send you an order confirmation email. If we cannot accept your order we will refund you in full.
4. Sending us your cards
You may send your cards to us in one of three ways, chosen when you order:
- By post. You post your original cards to the address above, at your own cost and risk. We strongly recommend a tracked service, and ask that you email us the tracking number.
- Scans. You upload scanned images of your cards.
- Photographs. You upload photographs of your cards.
We begin work once we have received everything we need. If we do not receive your cards or files within 90 days of your order, we may cancel the order and refund you, less any costs already incurred.
5. Uploaded files
We accept JPEG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC and PDF files. Individual file size and quantity limits are shown on the order form.
We prepare and enhance your files to achieve the best possible print quality, but the finished book can only be as good as the material supplied. We are not responsible for results caused by low-resolution, blurred, cropped or poorly lit images. If we think a file is not good enough to print well, we will tell you before proceeding.
Files uploaded by someone who does not go on to place an order are deleted after 30 days. Files attached to a completed order are retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Your content and the rights in it
The cards you send us were usually written and designed by other people. By placing an order you confirm that you own the physical cards, and that you have the right to have their contents reproduced in a book for your personal use.
You grant us a limited licence to reproduce, adapt and print your cards and any text or images you supply, strictly for the purpose of producing your book. We claim no other rights over your content and will not use it for marketing or any other purpose without asking you first.
We may decline to reproduce content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else’s rights. If we decline after you have ordered, we will refund you in full.
7. Proofs and approval
Before anything is printed we send you a digital proof by email, using a private link to your order.
It is your responsibility to check the proof carefully, including the spelling of every name, all dates, and the cover details. If something is wrong, use the request-changes option on the proof page and tell us what to correct. You may also upload replacement images at that point.
Once you approve the proof, your book is printed exactly as shown. We cannot correct errors that were visible in an approved proof, and reprints for such errors are chargeable.
If we do not hear from you, we will send reminders. We will not print an unapproved book.
8. Cancellation and your right to withdraw
You may cancel your order for a full refund at any time before you approve your proof. Email us at hello@yourcardstory.com. If you have already posted your cards to us, we will return them to you.
After you approve your proof, your order cannot be cancelled. Each book is made to your specification and is personalised to you, so it cannot be resold or reused. Where you would otherwise have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, that right does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, and by approving your proof you acknowledge that production has begun at your request.
This does not affect your rights if goods arrive faulty or damaged.
9. Production and delivery
We typically complete digitisation and design within 2–3 weeks of receiving your cards. Printing and shipping usually takes a further 1–2 weeks depending on destination.
These are estimates, not guarantees. Timescales depend on how quickly you approve your proof, and on postal services we do not control. We will tell you if we expect a significant delay.
We ship internationally. You are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or handling fees charged in your country. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
10. Return of your original cards
If you sent us original cards, we return them to you after your book is printed, packaged carefully and shipped separately from the book.
We handle your cards with great care. However, we cannot accept liability for the loss, delay or damage of original cards while in transit to or from us, as postal services are outside our control. Cards are irreplaceable, and we would strongly encourage you to consider scanning or photographing them before posting, or to use the upload option instead.
Our liability for loss of or damage to original cards while in our possession is limited to the value of your order.
11. If something is wrong with your book
If your book arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or materially different from your approved proof, tell us within 14 days of delivery and send us photographs. We will reprint and reship it at our cost, or refund you.
Minor variation in colour between a screen and a printed page is normal and is not a fault.
12. Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, or for business losses.
Except where liability cannot lawfully be limited, our total liability arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Privacy
We handle your personal data and your uploaded files as described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, which includes the images you uploaded.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes are subject to the courts of [JURISDICTION]. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
